Relaxed hike for the whole family

What is a relaxed tour in summer, which even a 4-year-old child can easily master, can become a small challenge in winter. In a snowy winter, as it was in January 2023, it can be snowy above 1000 m and it is advisable to have the gaiters in your backpack. The photos below offer a small impression of the versatility of the Corsican nature and climate.

This hike runs mostly through the wooded areas of the Cirque de Bonifatu on very well-maintained trails with no technical challenges.
The starting point is a small parking lot on the Route de Bonifatu, just before you reach the end of the small winding road.
During the ascent there are always views of the valley and the surrounding mountain peaks. At the saddle, the panorama is also beautiful. The view stretches from Cap Corse over the north coast with Calvi and the Revellata peninsula to the green valleys and down to the west coast, a perfect place to rest.

A little further uphill, then it goes down in serpentines on the other side of the mountain range back into the valley. On the way there are still very nice views of the mountain massif of the Cirque de Bonifatu.
