When the red sun goes down at the sea

As Calvi faces north-east, there are wonderful sunrises here, especially from the port and the beach. To see sunsets by the sea you have to walk the five kilometres to the west coast for most of the year.
In June, on the longest days of the year, you can also see the sun going down in Calvi, behind the citadel, on the sea.

But the way to the west coast is definitely worth it, as you can see in the photos below.
You can see the sea from about 110 m, framed by the Revellata peninsula and Capo Cavallo with the old semaphore, just fantastic.
