Also, with the bike more than just worth seeing

The demanding tour always leads from Calvi along the west coast to the Golfe de Girolata. You shouldn’t necessarily tackle the more than 110 km and 1600 meters of altitude difference in summer in the midday heat.

The route always leads uphill and downhill along the small coastal road along the cliffs with spectacular views down to the crystal-clear sea and inland to the Corsican mountains. There is plenty of time to enjoy these impressions. The road is very uneven on this section for the most part, so a suspension bike is a good choice.

After the bridge just before Galéria, turn left, here the road leads inland and uphill to the Bocca di Palmarella at 408 m. From there you have a breath-taking view of the Golfe de Girolata. The village of Girolata, down by the sea, can only be reached by boat, there is no road leading there.

As in the route below, you could follow the road a little further in the direction of Osani and enjoy the view before heading back.

After the bridge at Galéria, turn right up to the Bocca di Marsulinu at 443m. After this final challenge, there are no more climbs until you return to Calvi.
