It gets steeper and steeper towards the goal

The north west coast of Corsica is always worth a tour. When there is an easterly wind, there is almost no wind and the sunsets are an incredible spectacle. Exactly between Calvi and Galéria there is a wind farm at about 450 m altitude.

Outside of the high season, you hardly see a car, even on the coastal road. The way up to the wind turbines is easy to drive, but gets steeper and steeper towards the end.

You will be rewarded with a great view. The wind farm with the 66 m high wind turbines was built in 2003, at that time with 600 kW, after the renewal in 2021 with 900 kW each of the 10 wind turbines. You can see the old Sémaphore de Cavallo on the opposite hill to the west, and the central mountains are also clearly visible.

Ideally, you plan the tour so that the way back falls at dusk – drive and enjoy…
