This is without a doubt my absolute favourite run!

In Calvi up to the Hotel Corsica, then turn right and after a few hundred meters you are already in the maquis. The herbs smell and the path leads very steeply uphill. With every step you have a more impressive view over the Gulf of Calvi.

Once at the top, at 260 m, you can enjoy this view until you come to the small church of Notre Dame de la Serra. Sunrises up here are particularly worth seeing. The church dates from the 15th century and is also a worthwhile destination for a photo excursion. From Calvi, a hiking trail leads directly up to the church at about 200 m. Unfortunately, the statue of the Virgin on the church was struck by lightning on August 18, 2022 and destroyed.

When you have passed the church, there is a spring with drinking water on the right side of the access road, which I have used many times. So far, the spring has always had water, even in dry summers.

The way back to Calvi follows the north coast with beautiful views of the Revellata peninsula with the lighthouse and the sea.
