The road from Calvi to Lumio is busy, so a Sunday morning is a good time. The alternative is to turn right at the roundabout in front of Camp Raffalli and head towards Montemaggiore. Before going up the mountain you can take the path through the Culombu winery on the left and come back to the road in Lumio. The path is also described on the Macchia and Wine page.

At Hotel A Casa Di Mà follow the path behind the hotel uphill. The following section to Occi is hardly drivable, but the view is fantastic.

In Occi keep to the right. The path leads along the Capu d’Occi down to the small church of Notre Dame de la Stella and then continues left to Lavatoggio.
Via Cateri and the Col de Salvi with 500 m you come to Montemaggiore, also a very beautiful mountain village.

Then it’s down the hill back to Calvi.
