And again, we are on the west coast, for me the most beautiful region of Corsica – La Scandola with its red rocks, the cliffs and in the backland the highest mountains of Corsica.

Here you are between Osani, Curzu and Partinello, with three detours to the coast in different bays. The localities are nice little mountain villages with only about 250 inhabitants and a beautiful view of the coast.

The car can be parked well at the Col de la Croix, a vantage point where there are also various hiking opportunities.

At the end of the parking lot, just keep riding your bike and you will come to Port de Vignola on the coast of the Golfe de Girolata. Here you can, for example, order a taxi boat if you want to go to Girolata. The place is north and can only be reached on foot or by boat.

Next, head to Gradelle Beach on the Gulf of Porto, where you have the option of a dip in the sea. Then you follow the small road via Osani, Curzu to Partinello. There you drive back down to the sea at the Baie de Caspiu. There are two small restaurants here, but they are only open in the summer months.

Tables in the sand, sunset by the sea and one of the best grilled fish I have ever tasted…

For the way back, however, it takes a bit of effort to get back on the bike 😉
